About this integration

X (formerly Twitter) videos come in a few flavours: short embedded clips that play inline, GIFs that are really MP4s, and longer uploads (3+ minutes for Premium accounts). Vidownloader handles all three.

Most public videos work without authentication. Sensitive-content videos, NSFW tagged posts, and protected accounts require X cookies from a logged-in browser. The flow is the same as Instagram: export cookies.txt via a browser extension, paste into the Cookies modal.

Twitter / X FAQ

Do twitter.com and x.com URLs both work?

Yes — they're the same platform. Either domain in the URL resolves to the same video.

Can I download Twitter Spaces?

Live Spaces aren't supported; recorded Spaces sometimes work depending on whether the host saved them. Try the URL and see.

Does it download GIFs?

Yes, but as MP4 — Twitter doesn't actually serve GIFs anymore, they convert all GIF uploads to silent MP4s.
